I am quite out of habit of blogging - having not blogged for 3-4 weeks - sorry folks!
Since the 14th of August i have:
been on a fabdazzling 8-day holiday in Taunton - a cyfa organised youth camp (not sure what cyfa stands for but is a part of the Church Pastoral Aid Society so ye) with 140ish ppl which ws awesome and the highlight of my year - on which i:
had very little sleep!
made lots of lovely new friends
and got to know some old ones better (as the old saying goes.....it takes a long time to grow an old friend....)
Read the bible
Prayed: privately, in a group, out loud, prayed for ppl and was prayed for.
Worshipped my Saviour
Laughed (a LOT!!)
Sang a lot of disney songs
Cried
Ate a lot of food
Chatted for hours, and hours and hours....
Made a tower out of spaghetti and jelly babies
Danced crazily
Went laser-questing and shopping in Bristol
Went to Exmouth Beach
Got a huge blister (dofe style) bcoz i wore idiotic shoes
Had an amazing, overwhelming, unexplainable sense of peace - unlike anything i've ever experienced before
Hugged people and was hugged a lot!
This list is not in chronological order, but you get the general idea!
Got my AS results (while on Taunton) which were:
A in psychology
C's in human biology, chemistry, physics and critical thinking
To cut a long and on-going story into a few sentences though i could ramble on about for several hours...
They're not the results i expected (i would hv preferred at least two of the C's to have been B's) and have changed my outlook on my future somewhat....I'm still planning to do medicine, as that door has not been slammed shut on me yet, but am definitely planning on re-sits and a gap year.
Learning to trust in God's plan for me.
Soooo now the summer is over (though you wouldn't have thought it with the kinda temperatures that we're having..) and it has been rather eventful - i've hardly been at home - but i'm really not ready for having to get my head down and work again (although i really need to) I suppose you could say i've got the back-to-school blues!
As for the inappropriate use of a cushion story i think its the kind of event that needs to be told face-to-face as that will be way too long to type out...lets just say it was a hilarious thing that was made a joke at Taunton - which is also actually pretty inapropriate thing for a christian camp but you know!!
Can't wait to catch up with all you school bundles who i haven't seen all summer
(Rose, Ishmael - I'm talking to you!)
Love, love, love, love, love, love
:D

This is a continuation of 'Numb' - a post about the lesson that was
impressed on my heart over 2008(ish):
The lesson I thought I'd learnt:
