Get the cool shoeshine!

HAD A PROPERLY KWL WEEKEND
went away with my youth grp for a get-away; high ropes course, low ropes course, night games, films, mini-series of 24 created by youth wrker, apprentice and willing helpers - which was a lot of fun!!
I couldn't do the high ropes properly but had a go anywys
was a lil 2 tired to play the night game - so watched veggie tales instead (ah the coolness of it all - VEGGIE TALES ROCKS MY SOCKS!)

Monday was rubbish because i was soooo tired and bruised and aching and coz i had two tests in the two lessons that i had on monday - but it could have bin a lot worse...

Yesterday i drove my car for the first time which was interesting - learnt that it has a rather over-reactive accelerator which made my drive home a bit nosy - but ok - will get used to it pretty quickly.....
am also learning to like my car a lot - even tho i didnt think i'd like it that much, i was wrong!!

FINISHED MY UCAS TODAY!!!
joyous times :D

I've jst had an early morning cup of coffee so am quite awake atm - not sure that will last v.long(!)
Mist the train due to the fact that my car's windscreen takes agggges to de-steam itself
so am gonna have to get out of the house ten minutes early to turn on the engine....it could be worse!

There are so many funny things that happen during the day which i always think i should try to remember bt 9/10 ten times i forget so yea - mayb i should start making lists!!
bt that might take the fun out of it....

in the meantime i think diploma ppl should b informed that there is a truly awful picture of us all in our Woman of No Importance get-up in that foto slideshow that goes round on that screen in reception
Rosenburg - i think your position of influence should be used to rid us of this embarassment....

:P

Break-time is here - time to eat some chocolate!!
:D

the week that was.......

This week has been quite wierd
Felt like i havent had tht much work but its gone rele quickly - and i've still ended up with a pile of work :S

Nevermind - i've resolved to do some work this weekend - which is wierd as that hasn't happened in a while!
Rele need to get my UCAS form printed off and given to Mrs Leese so that i can get her to hurry up with writing my reference.....argh!

In other news:
I am disppointed that no jack johnson has been played in the sixth form common room in the mornings.....this has to be wrong!....jack johnson is one of the nicest things to wake up to.....

The speed of a typical raindrop is 17 miles per hour.

I am hoping that there is another flash-flood over the weekend so that i don't have to go to school on Monday!

The best recorded distance for projectile vomiting is 27 feet. Don't know what idiot bothered to find that out!

I am about to miss my horse-riding lesson if i don't leave soon but jst one more random fact 4u...

Under extreme stress, some octopuses will eat their own arms.

I'm glad octopuses don't have to sit ALevels - some serious animal cruelty would go on
Might be a good excuse to get out of exams though

"Please Miss, I can't do this paper coz i'm an octopus and i might eat my arms"

lol!

Ah what a weekend its being....

Shame that it still feels like a saturday, when it is in fact sunday....
think that may be due to the two-and-a-half hours sleep last night

Ho hum,,,

Fun, fun, fun, hyperness and giggles

i am off presently for a little nap as this day is by no means over!

Am gonna fail Dr Masri's test 2moro - but it's all bin worth it!!

Making my way to higher ground

So that i won't get flooded when the sea levels rise.....
preferably Scafell Pike/Peak (which i am reliably informed by "Beauty and the Geek" is the highest mountain in the UK/Britain??!!)

so the person who talked at lectures was interesting but rather depressing - if i was a normal person i think i would have been tempted to turn emo - but as i'm not normal thats fine isn't it?!

I am in one of the worst moods i've bin in for a while which is nice(!)
I have a hard decision between which of two (technically three) events I will be attending on saturday which is making me crabby

All of them i wanna be at, two of them i will be letting ppl down if i don't go, there will be ppl i hvnt seen for ages at both,,,,, and i have to decide pronto

its FRUSTRATING ME!

On the flip side - at least i have things to do on sat eve and i am allowed by my lovely parents to go to either of them
and they will both be really fun things to go to
and i am getting behind the wheel again for the first time in nigh on three weeks which is exciting - next wednesday - i am looking forward to it far too much already!!

My parents are also a source of annoying-ness as welll
I NEED A CAR
to pollute the environment
but I NEED A CAR....o this argument could go on forever....

Must go my mum wants to check emails
JOY :S

I really enjoy blogging when i'm irritated - it helps me think straight - i think i might blog again later on in celebration!!!

Until that happy momment
Don't hold your breath

An inapropriate use of a cushion and other stories....

I am quite out of habit of blogging - having not blogged for 3-4 weeks - sorry folks!

Since the 14th of August i have:
been on a fabdazzling 8-day holiday in Taunton - a cyfa organised youth camp (not sure what cyfa stands for but is a part of the Church Pastoral Aid Society so ye) with 140ish ppl which ws awesome and the highlight of my year - on which i:

had very little sleep!
made lots of lovely new friends
and got to know some old ones better (as the old saying goes.....it takes a long time to grow an old friend....)
Read the bible
Prayed: privately, in a group, out loud, prayed for ppl and was prayed for.
Worshipped my Saviour

Laughed (a LOT!!)
Sang a lot of disney songs
Cried
Ate a lot of food
Chatted for hours, and hours and hours....
Made a tower out of spaghetti and jelly babies
Danced crazily
Went laser-questing and shopping in Bristol
Went to Exmouth Beach
Got a huge blister (dofe style) bcoz i wore idiotic shoes
Had an amazing, overwhelming, unexplainable sense of peace - unlike anything i've ever experienced before

Hugged people and was hugged a lot!
This list is not in chronological order, but you get the general idea!

Got my AS results (while on Taunton) which were:
A in psychology
C's in human biology, chemistry, physics and critical thinking
To cut a long and on-going story into a few sentences though i could ramble on about for several hours...
They're not the results i expected (i would hv preferred at least two of the C's to have been B's) and have changed my outlook on my future somewhat....I'm still planning to do medicine, as that door has not been slammed shut on me yet, but am definitely planning on re-sits and a gap year.

Learning to trust in God's plan for me.

Soooo now the summer is over (though you wouldn't have thought it with the kinda temperatures that we're having..) and it has been rather eventful - i've hardly been at home - but i'm really not ready for having to get my head down and work again (although i really need to) I suppose you could say i've got the back-to-school blues!

As for the inappropriate use of a cushion story i think its the kind of event that needs to be told face-to-face as that will be way too long to type out...lets just say it was a hilarious thing that was made a joke at Taunton - which is also actually pretty inapropriate thing for a christian camp but you know!!

Can't wait to catch up with all you school bundles who i haven't seen all summer
(Rose, Ishmael - I'm talking to you!)

Love, love, love, love, love, love
:D
