Get the cool shoeshine!

HAD A PROPERLY KWL WEEKEND
went away with my youth grp for a get-away; high ropes course, low ropes course, night games, films, mini-series of 24 created by youth wrker, apprentice and willing helpers - which was a lot of fun!!
I couldn't do the high ropes properly but had a go anywys
was a lil 2 tired to play the night game - so watched veggie tales instead (ah the coolness of it all - VEGGIE TALES ROCKS MY SOCKS!)

Monday was rubbish because i was soooo tired and bruised and aching and coz i had two tests in the two lessons that i had on monday - but it could have bin a lot worse...

Yesterday i drove my car for the first time which was interesting - learnt that it has a rather over-reactive accelerator which made my drive home a bit nosy - but ok - will get used to it pretty quickly.....
am also learning to like my car a lot - even tho i didnt think i'd like it that much, i was wrong!!

FINISHED MY UCAS TODAY!!!
joyous times :D

I've jst had an early morning cup of coffee so am quite awake atm - not sure that will last v.long(!)
Mist the train due to the fact that my car's windscreen takes agggges to de-steam itself
so am gonna have to get out of the house ten minutes early to turn on the engine....it could be worse!

There are so many funny things that happen during the day which i always think i should try to remember bt 9/10 ten times i forget so yea - mayb i should start making lists!!
bt that might take the fun out of it....

in the meantime i think diploma ppl should b informed that there is a truly awful picture of us all in our Woman of No Importance get-up in that foto slideshow that goes round on that screen in reception
Rosenburg - i think your position of influence should be used to rid us of this embarassment....

:P

Break-time is here - time to eat some chocolate!!
:D

But its mine (any my mums) and that meaaans i can practice driving - LOVE IT!

My personal statement is still not finished so must get on and finish that,,,,
and many apologies for the crap previous post....i was in a rush and didn't have time to really think about what i was putting in....

Life is being exciting and boring at the same time - oddness i tel you!

the week that was.......

This week has been quite wierd
Felt like i havent had tht much work but its gone rele quickly - and i've still ended up with a pile of work :S

Nevermind - i've resolved to do some work this weekend - which is wierd as that hasn't happened in a while!
Rele need to get my UCAS form printed off and given to Mrs Leese so that i can get her to hurry up with writing my reference.....argh!

In other news:
I am disppointed that no jack johnson has been played in the sixth form common room in the mornings.....this has to be wrong!....jack johnson is one of the nicest things to wake up to.....

The speed of a typical raindrop is 17 miles per hour.

I am hoping that there is another flash-flood over the weekend so that i don't have to go to school on Monday!

The best recorded distance for projectile vomiting is 27 feet. Don't know what idiot bothered to find that out!

I am about to miss my horse-riding lesson if i don't leave soon but jst one more random fact 4u...

Under extreme stress, some octopuses will eat their own arms.

I'm glad octopuses don't have to sit ALevels - some serious animal cruelty would go on
Might be a good excuse to get out of exams though

"Please Miss, I can't do this paper coz i'm an octopus and i might eat my arms"

lol!

Ah what a weekend its being....

Shame that it still feels like a saturday, when it is in fact sunday....
think that may be due to the two-and-a-half hours sleep last night

Ho hum,,,

Fun, fun, fun, hyperness and giggles

i am off presently for a little nap as this day is by no means over!

Am gonna fail Dr Masri's test 2moro - but it's all bin worth it!!

More sn.....

Luv n smiles!

Making my way to higher ground

So that i won't get flooded when the sea levels rise.....
preferably Scafell Pike/Peak (which i am reliably informed by "Beauty and the Geek" is the highest mountain in the UK/Britain??!!)

so the person who talked at lectures was interesting but rather depressing - if i was a normal person i think i would have been tempted to turn emo - but as i'm not normal thats fine isn't it?!

I am in one of the worst moods i've bin in for a while which is nice(!)
I have a hard decision between which of two (technically three) events I will be attending on saturday which is making me crabby

All of them i wanna be at, two of them i will be letting ppl down if i don't go, there will be ppl i hvnt seen for ages at both,,,,, and i have to decide pronto

its FRUSTRATING ME!

On the flip side - at least i have things to do on sat eve and i am allowed by my lovely parents to go to either of them
and they will both be really fun things to go to
and i am getting behind the wheel again for the first time in nigh on three weeks which is exciting - next wednesday - i am looking forward to it far too much already!!

My parents are also a source of annoying-ness as welll
I NEED A CAR
to pollute the environment
but I NEED A CAR....o this argument could go on forever....

Must go my mum wants to check emails
JOY :S

I really enjoy blogging when i'm irritated - it helps me think straight - i think i might blog again later on in celebration!!!

Until that happy momment
Don't hold your breath

An inapropriate use of a cushion and other stories....

I am quite out of habit of blogging - having not blogged for 3-4 weeks - sorry folks!

Since the 14th of August i have:
been on a fabdazzling 8-day holiday in Taunton - a cyfa organised youth camp (not sure what cyfa stands for but is a part of the Church Pastoral Aid Society so ye) with 140ish ppl which ws awesome and the highlight of my year - on which i:

had very little sleep!
made lots of lovely new friends
and got to know some old ones better (as the old saying goes.....it takes a long time to grow an old friend....)
Read the bible
Prayed: privately, in a group, out loud, prayed for ppl and was prayed for.
Worshipped my Saviour

Laughed (a LOT!!)
Sang a lot of disney songs
Cried
Ate a lot of food
Chatted for hours, and hours and hours....
Made a tower out of spaghetti and jelly babies
Danced crazily
Went laser-questing and shopping in Bristol
Went to Exmouth Beach
Got a huge blister (dofe style) bcoz i wore idiotic shoes
Had an amazing, overwhelming, unexplainable sense of peace - unlike anything i've ever experienced before

Hugged people and was hugged a lot!
This list is not in chronological order, but you get the general idea!

Got my AS results (while on Taunton) which were:
A in psychology
C's in human biology, chemistry, physics and critical thinking
To cut a long and on-going story into a few sentences though i could ramble on about for several hours...
They're not the results i expected (i would hv preferred at least two of the C's to have been B's) and have changed my outlook on my future somewhat....I'm still planning to do medicine, as that door has not been slammed shut on me yet, but am definitely planning on re-sits and a gap year.

Learning to trust in God's plan for me.

Soooo now the summer is over (though you wouldn't have thought it with the kinda temperatures that we're having..) and it has been rather eventful - i've hardly been at home - but i'm really not ready for having to get my head down and work again (although i really need to) I suppose you could say i've got the back-to-school blues!

As for the inappropriate use of a cushion story i think its the kind of event that needs to be told face-to-face as that will be way too long to type out...lets just say it was a hilarious thing that was made a joke at Taunton - which is also actually pretty inapropriate thing for a christian camp but you know!!

Can't wait to catch up with all you school bundles who i haven't seen all summer
(Rose, Ishmael - I'm talking to you!)

Love, love, love, love, love, love
:D

Who Wants To Be A Superhero?

Personally I don't but my youth group has been watching this American TV show (from American ITunes) which is about this group of wackos who all have their own superhero "identities" and have auditioned to be on this show......whoever wins gets their own comic strip.....its ridiculous - yet somehow hilariously funny!

So back aagain from another holiday, this time in London, dude this was sooooo much fun, i loved nearly every second of it (the exceptions being the times I had a painful pounding headache and sore feet) but those two things only happened together once, which was good.
If you're feeling bored go and look at all the pictures (and there are a lot of them) you may not fully appreiciate them but hey - some of them are v.funny......
www.christianyouth.co.uk
NOTE: the VERY cool LONDON t-shirts - designed especially for us.... :P

Have been at home doing lots of being lethargic - couldn't be bothered to do alot of stuff at the momment and time was boring and being incredibly slow
But on tues ppl came over and we watched pink panther - instead of switchfoot concert which me hannah and belinda shouls have been at but got cancelled :( don't worry though as it is going to be re-scheduled.
On weds had a long driving lesson and my mum came in the back of the car - was mucho fun - apart from nearly driving onto a roundabout......but my mum was much impressed as i was better than she had expected - that was nice!

Went to Staines for SEVEN hours on friday with weez, then we went to sonja's (after a de-tour to feltham - lol don't even ask!) and then weez came to mine for the night......much fun - and amazingly me and weez found stuff to chat about all that time - till 3:45am in fact - but i think we did start going round in rambly circles by the end.....

Must go otherwise i will miss my train to TAUNTON - i am going to have sooo much fun - i can't even put it into words!!!
:P
Also can't wait to see MARION
AND
everyone else

Some people have way too much confidence baby

So I'm back from the Isles of Scilly folks - got back at 12:30am on Saturday and have been endlessly tired - my friend is visiting me and is being a real big pain this time (lingy-ding is probably the only one who will understand the last bit......its prob TMI for the rest of you (and from that comment you can prob work it out, hee humm)

The Isles were v.v.v..v.v..v.v.v.v.v quiet with not much to do - which was nice for the first week but slightly tedious for the second but mustn't complain much as it was quite nice overall.
The highlight of the holidays was snorkelling with seals - i have sent postcards to most of you which will elaborate on my experience which i can't be bothered to detail here -but unfortunately i wasn't able to send a card to rosenburg or omar because the idiot that i am mis-counted how many to buy - so my biggest and greatest apologies to anyone who didn't get a postcard but feels like they should have.....

If you have anything that you should like me to elaborate on further regarding the holiday i will but can't rele be naffed to write much else about it here........incidently if someone could feed me (not literally) 'mael's and weez's address i would be much obliged coz i'm not anywhere near organised enough to have an address book or anywhere with their address's written down......

Now on to the next holiday(!)
I am going away to London tomorrow with my youth group for a get-away till midday Saturday
I know very little about this trip as its all being kept to be a surprise
Except there isn't a shower where we're staying so we're going to the nearest swimming baths to shower (nice isn't it :P)
Its liable to get cold and night and the floor is not particularly comfortable (no we are not camping)
And there are some very fun activities planned (according to my mother who is in on this whole thing - as are all the parents......)

Oh and don't expect a postcard from this one guys!!

I feel like i've spoken to all of you coz i've finally got up to date with all ya blogging (except Cassie's which i may have to read tomorrow as its taken me literally HOURS to read all of your entries!!)
I have also commented quite a lot - i.e. where i have had something to say

When i come back from London I have 10 days before i go away again, this time to Taunton in Somerset for 8 days on a christian youth camp. I know you guys are all going to get rather annoyed with all my in-betweeny blogs but i'm sorry - this is one of the last years that my parents are going to be paying for my holidays - i felt compelled to make the most of it.....

I need ppl to txt me with details of any party which may occur on the 22nd of August (last night of Marions's visit) as most of her visit coincides with my camp in taunton and i will be returning on the afternoon of the 22nd (and am out of email contact from the 14th August till that time so i need someone to let me no whats going on)
So if at least one person remembers that that would be fan-dabbie-dozzy - i'll try and mention it closer to the time.....

Another thing - is weez on holiday or going to be on holiday during August
Also 'Mael and Rose whats your holiday plans?

Sorry that this blog is so unfrivolous and question-asking and information-giving

To finish on a lighter note i thought i might give you a list of all the ridiculous songs i managed to get stuck in my head for unknown reasons while on holiday.
Remember that i was singing these in the sea, while sunbathing, while cycling, while in the B&B - quite literally everywhere....

All American Rejects -My Paper Heart
How Much Is That Doggie In The Window (who is that by??)
The Downey, Mushroom song that Rose pioneered (see comments to the last blog)
Sweet Caroline - Status Quo
Silent Night - again no idea who wrote it
The Five Alive Song - again no idea but i'm sure Bendall could tell you as she was the one who gave me the song....
And finally the last and by far the most wierdest was
We Plough The Fields And Scatter

I swear i will never cease to amaze myself by own randomness
Beaten on the randomness only by 'mael and Bernard R Melkior (sorry if i spelt that wrong)

Speak to all anon

I'll play it off, but I'm dreaming of you

Hello folks
This is being typed very late at night/very early in the morning
I haven't blogged for a while - due mainly to laziness, work and return to the forbidden planet - but yea mainly laziness

lots has happened...most of which i can't remember - but i will try
Last wednesday i went to Staines with Pooley, Anji, Jaya and Avni and ate in Pizza Hut with Pooley (where we were met by May) and then went to see the Lake House (without May)
Then came back to school and tried to give a tour to people who had already seen the school a good few times.....so that was fairly pointless

Thursday - can't remember much - except for the stuff we were taught in chemistry. which is randomness indeed however also a teeny incy bit cool coz it means i understood what Gates was trying to tell me - which is such a rare occurence i think i ought to get a letter from the Queenie
:P

Friday was busy, busy, busy.
Had Downey which was abit odd after not having been taught by her for agges - i am going to have to re-acclimatise lol
Rode a very over-excited horse in the evening and (nearly) went galloping off into the sunset (or at least i would have done if he (the horse) had had his way...

Spent Friday afternoon - saturday and sunday (most of at school)
Return to the forbidden planet-ing
which was tres fun if not a little hot and sticky (and a little boring at times)

Enjoyed having some authority over Year 7-10 while they made boarding passes - can you believe they actually listened and obeyed instructions i gave them most of the time (it took some getting used to.....was fun :P)
Sunbathed a little
Screamed at various English footballers for being so silly
and generally had a lot of fun, me and kirstin even got our own little section in the programme in recognition of our randomness which was pretty cool

The performance is now over - i was at school till 11:05ish this evening - which was the latest i think i've ever been in a school building (oh the joy!)
Today was busy - even busier - what happened this morning feels like yesterday
The bit of today which wasn't RTTFP was fairly crap
Lots of ppl wasn't there due to uni visits
and i was hot and bothered so i think that i was grumpy and a little over-sensitive
I was glad when it finished

I mean when a couple of games of Slam didnt cheer me up i knew i was in trouble :P

One thing that has amazed me today is the stupidity of my trumpet teacher - he booked a whole load of lessons for today AND reminded me of my lesson on two separate occasions - most recently last week monday
Yet I turn up to the music block today and find that he is not there
After probing enquiry of Mr H i discover that got MARRIED on saturday and is now on the 5 week long honeymoon in Africa that he had been boasting on about.

Who on earth forgets that they are getting married and going on a honeymoon and actually arrange completely normal stuff in place of it?????!!!!

CRAZY MAN!

I rele must go to bed i have no idea how i'm going to be able to get out of bed 2moro
i am going to fall asleep the second my head hits the pillow.....
oh and i'll change the time thing like i normally do so you can see what time it is

I really don't know what possessed me to turn on my laptop at this time of night

Yawn :O

Tuesday, June 27, 2006

Yes it was one of those, no, wait, it wasn't

OK - this blog is stemming from a comment that rosen-man left asking me whether i was having a black capricorn day (which for those of you who don't listen to Jamiroquai's music *shakes head disgustedly*)
Is the second best song from his Synkronized album preceded only by Canned Heat and followed by Deeper Underground and Soul Education and Destitute Illusions)

ok you get the picture i like Jamiroquai, no i pretty near love them lol
anyways

My day yesterday (to which i presumed this comment was related to) was a real mixture of a day, and as i'm not 100% what a black capricorn day consists of, was not a capricorn day.

I played many stressful games of three-way and four-way speed

Was upset by the news of who was not going to be in my psychology group (basically len-man, hannah, weez and beth-man are all not in my group)
which upset me big-time
how insensitive is mr moughtin???
i NEED to be with those guys
:s

Showed hyper-active Year 5's around the school

Got rather wet
Did no homework

Watched the LOTR Two Towers and began to understand how good the films are (having only ever seen the first one in german.......so i could only understand the stuff they said in elfish - which wasn' t very much lol!

So all in all it was one big mess
As is this blog - one big long, unconnected, unrelated ramble

This day so far has been a bit of a non-entity
We shall have to see how it progresses....

Congratulations must go to Lingy who has become a regular blogger again
:D :D :D

Now i'm going to go and find someone to play speed/slam with
preferably three-way
that game is sooooo damn addictive lol

Ling you will be pleased to see that i have changed the thingy at the top

I am WELL EXCITED that Marion is coming 16-25 August - i will only be around from the 22-25 August but cannot WAIT to see Marion again

I thought you might want to know that the picture was the first picture that came up on Google when i typed in Kat-meister!!

Ah the joys!

thank you to all the ppl i have had fun with over this last week
too hot and bothered to list them all here
but they are not to be unmentioned.....

I CANNOT WAIT FOR GOING TO TAUNTON THIS AUGUST

I am in a wierd mood
as you might be able to tell
but then i haven't had very much to eat today
due to my laziness and
lack of hungriness
until a couple of minutes ago

so am going to go and have a piece of bread and the like
oh and about the squim thing - this was the product of rose, omar, hannah, me and ricky-man in the queue for RUSH

and rose and omar getting bored
and creating a new integer
between nine and ten
which proves my point that rose and omar are wierd!
very wierd.....

This broken road prepares Your will for me

Sorry for lack of blog since Saturday - a lot has happened......

Two of my fellow FUEL-ers (thats my youth group - keep up guys! :P) were baptised which was fantastic :D
The party afterwards was kwl aswell

On Monday had biology which was ok i suppose - unit 2 was the worst in my opinion

Then had major stress/minor breakdown on Tuesday about the impending Chemistry exam
Had a dance class which was soo good after not having one for aggges and also stopped me from stressing out quite so badly :)

Then Wedsnesday was the dreaded day itself - i was expecting the absolute worst - sitting there not knowing any of the answers, floundering around, panicking.
Thankfully not much of that happened......i kept my head for most of it, only left out/made up a few answers and in generalwent far better than i expected
Although this isn't saying much and i am not confident about getting an amazing grade - only time will tell.
Though i would like to say thank you to all the ppl who were praying for me during that exam - i couldn't have done it without u guys - or - more importantly without God.

Now it is Thursday and tomorrow is Physics, which i hadn't looked at any revision for until today so just need to make sure I learn my Section C's fully and understand mechanics (hmmmm) and learn that wierd power equation that i can never remember then i will be fine(ish)

Lets just say this weekend will feel great and fantastic and going to Lingy's party on Fri afternoon is one of the most fitting ways to celebrate the end of exams that i can think of!!

Bring on the weekend.

Must get back to physics
Egad!

Made me laugh.....hope it makes you laugh too....

I was barely sitting down when I heard a voice from the other stall saying:
"Hi, how are you?"
I'm not the type to start a conversation in the restroom. I don't know what got into me, but I answered, somewhat embarrassed, "Doin' just fine!"
And the other person says: "So what are you up to?"What kind of question is that?
At that point, I'm thinking this is too bizarre so I say: "Uhhh, I'm like you, just sitting here."
At this point I am just trying to get out as fast as I can when I hear another question: "Can I come over?"
Ok, this question is just too weird for me. I figured I could politely end the conversation. I say: "No........I'm a little busy right now!!!"
Then I hear the person say, nervously: "Listen, I'll have to call you back. There's an idiot in the other stall who keeps answering all my questions!!"

And before the thought even crosses your mind the idiot was NOT me
Some random American
which explains it really
(i am joking!)

Just check you know the person before you start talking to them.....

Revision is going absolutely crapply
I am going to fail my exams
:'(

One man has done it all

WOO!
YEA
LAST NIGHT TOTALLY ROCKED
down (or up) in watford
listening to the musical talents of:
Tre and Tori Sheppard (of onehundredhours)
Cathy Burton

29th Chapter
LZ7 - who incidentally I LOVE because their music is so like The Tribe
I was one hyper child!!
I could have danced all night
Despite jumping between the songs because it was all so loud and my poor ears dislike sudden loud noises like a new track starting as most of you will prob know lol!

None of you have probably heard of these bands before because they're all christian but you will have seen onehundredhours if you went to see daniel bedingfield on tour

Anywys it was a blast and helped raise money for Soul Action which is the charity part of the legend soul survivor organisation!
They're planning a GIGANTIC-NORMOUS mission trip to Durban in the summer of 2009
I am sooo there!

I also attended a Soul Sista event in Watford on Saturday with some of my fellow female fuel-ers which is also a part of (yes you guessed it!) the soul survivor organisation.
That was also IMMENSE
with rocking worship, kwl talks and seminars, lots of chocolate, nail painting, hand massages, shopping and take-out meals from pizza hut (which are of course all neccessary for having a chilled out, god-focused day :P)

I also rolled along, quite late to Ishmaels very kwl birthday, sang karoke, petted gorgeous dogs, swayed with len-man, danced to backstreet boys, ate lots, chatted, spilt J20 on the carpet, tried (and failed) to assist rose-man and weez getting back in to the house after bidding farewell to hannah and her car-full of people and also tried and failed to assist 'mael in finding some stain remover for the juice i split.
All in all a very enjoyable and giggly evening (apart from the absence of a certain Ling2...)
oh and THAT incident with Mr Beaman - tho i'm sure someone else can fill you in on that as this blog is becoming increasingly long and my luncheon is awaiting me

This evening i am organising a prayer meeting and watching multiple episodes of Lost as not yet seen in the UK!!

I swear i am having TOO MUCH FUN :D
AND MARION IS COMING OVER
THE EXCITEMENT WILL NEVER CEASE!!!

P.S. FYI ishmael; bruce forsythe is the INCREDIBLY COOL wrinkly guy who presents strictly come dancing and can still dance amazingly considering his mature years and is an incredibly friendly guy to meet - especially when he comes into Lloyds Pharmacy :P

P.P.S Thank You for looking for my brooch (or however you spell it!) but i found it on my driveway surprisingly unsquashed, i figure it fell off before the party coz i dont think i fastened it properly......

Anywys i rele must shut up before i bore you all to death!!
